Convert Word and other documents to PDF
Create a readable PDF from Word documents and other text-based files. The standard mode runs in your browser; a layout-preserving option appears only when this site can offer it, and it is labelled clearly.
Readable PDF is ready now for supported text-based documents.
Conversion choices
Readable PDF works now for text-based documents. Layout conversion appears as an extra choice only when this site can preserve more of the original formatting.

Questions
Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?
Readable PDF keeps the text content but not every layout detail, such as complex tables, columns or embedded images. If you need an exact copy, use Save as PDF in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.
Which file types are supported?
DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, OpenDocument files, RTF, TXT, Markdown, CSV and HTML for Readable PDF. Older .doc files may need to be re-saved as .docx first.
Are my documents uploaded?
Readable PDF runs in your browser and does not upload files. If a server-based layout option is ever shown, the page says so before you use it.
